I have finally found a good way to make the green xbox jewel clear. This is very easy but it takes a lot of patients.
1. OK first off you want to start by taking the cover off the xbox. to do this there are 6 screws on the under side of the xbox. 4 under those black pads and 2 under the stickers.
2. once you have the top cover off you want to remove the heat shield. to do this you must take a flat head screw driver and bend up the pieces of metal where those black things are sticking up. the shield should come out freely.
3. now we can start to take out the jewel. take a hear dryer and make sure that it is not to hot. hold it up to the bottom side of the top cover where that black circle is (you want to keep moving the hear dryer around or else you will burn the plastic.
4. once you think its good and warm take a flat head screw driver and put it in the space between the black cover and the jewel. just pry the jewel up and out. It should pop of with some black sticky stuff on the bottom.
5. getting the paint off. you should still have some of that black covering over the paint. so to get that off and the paint of at the same time use easy off over spay its works the best I think. there are other things you can use to like paint thiner or gasoline. but please don't use alcohol I learned that the hard way.
6. moving along spray some easy off on the back side of the jewel. let it sit for a couple of minutes. take a rag or paper towel and rub it with medium pressure the black stuff should come off
7. keep repeating step 6 until you are able to scratch the paint off with your finger nail.
