Start by opening the Bitmap Internalizer (you will need the latest .net framework).
Now click on open map, and select the map you would like to skin a weapon in.
Once your map is open, navigate to the weapon bitmaps you'd like to skin. Select the first one, then click on Internalize, this will open up a dialog asking for the shared map file, select it and continue. Another dialog should pop up saying "Done". Now repeat this step for all of your weapons bitmaps (there should be around 4-5, average).
Now you can close the bitmap internalizer.
Next, open up dothalo, and open your map.
Navigate to the bitma[ tag [bitm] and find the bitmaps for your weapon. After you click on one, the raw data editor should pop up giving you information on the file. If you succesfully internalized the bitmap, the location should read Internal.
Now find the first bitmap, and click on Extract. I recomend creating a new folder to extract to (keep things simple)
Now you can minimize Dothalo and Open up photoshop.
Open the file you just extracted, it should open if you correctly installed the .dds pluggin.
Now, once your done editing..... go to save.
Now, go back to DotHalo. Go to the bitmap you are currently tring to save, and look at its format in the Raw Data Editor.
Now go back to photoshop and select that format in the save area. (note: a DXT4/5 should be saved as a DXT5, a DXT2/3 should be saved as a DXT3, and a DXT1 should be saved as a DXT1 with 1 bit alpha).
Now, go back to DotHalo.
Select the bitmap that you just finished skinning, and go to the raw data editor. Click on Inject, then go to the file you just skinned. You should get a message saying "Done skinning bitmap"
Now go back to photoshop and select that format in the save area. (note: a DXT4/5 should be saved as a DXT5, a DXT2/3 should be saved as a DXT3, and a DXT1 should be saved as a DXT1 with 1 bit alpha).

Now repeat these steps for all of the weapons other bitmaps (note: you cant skin things with _bump at the end).
Final result:
Its basically the same for vehicles and other objects.....
